Abstract: Worship is the function of the church in worshiping God so that understanding worship becomes the basis for Christian worship practices. This study describes true worship according to the teachings of Jesus Christ in John 4:23-24. The deepening of this teaching will use exploratory descriptive research methods. The research will reveal the true meaning of worship that Jesus meant in John 4:23-24 and also conduct a literature study to support this understanding more clearly. This study concludes with three results from the exploration of true worship, namely true worship is sought by the Father, true worship is worshiping in spirit and truth and the purpose of true worship is for the glory of the Father.References
