The Book of Hosea 8 reflects the dynamics of Israel's unfaithfulness, which transcends the realm of individual spirituality and creates socio-political disintegration as a result of covenant violation. Most previous studies have highlighted divine love and personal restoration, but have not yet explored in depth the relationship between collective denial, social destruction, and the crisis of identity among the people. This study offers a new reading of Hosea 8 as a progressive and systemic prophetic critique of a people who have disregarded God's law and authority. Using a qualitative approach based on literature review and grammatical-syntactic analysis of the Hebrew text of the Leningrad Hebrew Old Testament, this study aims to examine the correlation between spiritual deviation, idolatry, and leadership without divine legitimacy. The results indicate that Israel's destruction was not merely a theological consequence but the result of collective rejection of the covenant relationship. The main findings affirm that Hosea 8 offers a social-prophetic theological framework demanding radical repentance and collective fidelity as absolute prerequisites for the reconstruction of the people's identity and the restoration of their relationship with YHWH.
